Djamel DAOUD was born in Setif, Algeria, in 1982. He received the State engineer degree in process engineering, specialty: electrochemical engineering from the Ferhat Abbas University of Setif, Algeria in 2006, and the Doctor of Science and university habilitation degrees in electrochemical engineering from the Ferhat Abbas University of Setif and the Kasdi Merbah University of Ouargla in 2016 and 2018, respectively. In 2021 he received the Research Director (professor) degree. between 2008 and 2012 he worked as the main inspector of quality and repression of fraud at the level of the trade management. In September 2012, he joined the Applied Research Unit for Renewable Energies URAER Ghardaïa, Renewable Energy Development Centre, as a research associate, and in 2016 became a Senior Research “B” and in 2018 become Senior Research “A”. From November 2020 to today, he is ahead of the Team "energy systems for agriculture" in the Unit for Applied Renewable Energy URAER Ghardaïa, and at the same time, he is a Member of the Laboratory of Electrochemistry of Molecular and Complex Materials in Ferhat Abbas University of Setif. His current research interests include Electrochemistry, Corrosion, Organic chemistry, Bioenergy, and Biomass. He is a Reviewer in several international journals such as Corrosion Science, Arabian Journal for Science and Engineering, International Journal of Industrial Chemistry, Journal of the Taiwan Institute of Chemical Engineers, and Journal of molecular liquids. He is an expert and member of the jury in several masters and doctoral dissertations. He is also an expert in the evaluation committee of PNR Projects. He has many articles in various fields of chemistry, participated in many national and international forums, contributed to directing many theses, and participated in the implementation of many research projects funded by the General Directorate of Scientific Research.
